Tolpo Bust in Washington, D.C.

Ford's Theatre, the place where President Lincoln was assassinated, contains many likenesses of Lincoln, including this heroic-sized bronze bust. This particular work stands in a corner of the second floor.

Created by Carl Tolpo, the marker says it was the "result of two decades of intermittent work to artistically express the greatness of Lincoln." On June 15, 1965 the W. Clement and Jessie Stone Foundation presented the bust to the Lincoln Museum.
